For a hotel to make my list, it has to be a place that I can confidently recommend my brides and grooms send their family members and guests to for their wedding weekends. And yes, you might recognize some of the properties from wedding pictures I’ve posted in the past. I do tend to work with many of the same accommodations over and over again because those are the properties where I consistently get good feedback, throughout the wedding planning process, and after everything is all said and done.
The hotels I’ve included in my top five for Caribbean Blue Book all stand out for different reasons. Hacienda Tamarindo is a B&B unlike any other I’ve encountered. The same guests return year after year for the coveted high season weeks. Each room has been personally decorated by the owners.
Hix Island House, while totally different, has the same personalized touches, from homemade bread in the mornings to Frette linens in every room. Bravo Beach Hotel has been freshly reimagined under new ownership of a fantastic young couple who have renovated and expanded the stylish waterfront property.
New kid on the block, El Blok, adds a modern and funky look to the Malecon, Vieques Island’s version of a boardwalk on the tourist strip in Esperanza. Blue Horizon Boutique Hotel’s expansive property makes a true getaway possible just minutes from fabulous restaurants and bars.
But don’t just go by what I’m saying here, make sure you read the actual blog for all the details!
Until next time, happy wedding planning from Weddings in Vieques and Sandy Malone Weddings & Events!
