Depending on the bride, planning the “hen night,” as they call it in the UK, can either be a lot of fun or a complete nightmare. It’s supposed to be a night to celebrate being single for the bride, but that doesn’t always translate into sloppy drunk and condoms pinned to the shirt for everyone. I would not have enjoyed wearing a tshirt with lifesavers on it that random men were biting off my boobs all night; however, I did carry around a four foot inflatable “Dict-ton” as a prop and wear a veil and have a fabulous time with my friends.
If you’re in the wedding party and planning the bachelorette night or weekend, you know the bride pretty darned well. Plan the party for her, not for the rest of the wedding party. Check out some ideas for making it fun for everybody in my BRIDES blog about it.
