Top Ten Most Popular Wedding Songs Used for First Dances at Caribbean Island Weddings in Vieques and Culebra
Hey Folks!
I love the way New Year’s gave us a nice long weekend this year. I just got home from a BBQ and pool party at my friend Colleen’s house and I wanted to pop off this quick blog for you to make at least the slightest effort of keeping my word about blogging every day. And if I’m going to post this in the next few minutes and get it in under the wire, I gotta go short and sweet. So here are the 10 songs I heard more than any other at weddings over the last few years. In no particular order:
1) Lucky — Jason Mraz
2) Better Together — Jack Johnson
3) Amazed – Lonestar
4) Somewhere Over the Rainbow (on the ukulele) — Israel Kamakawiwo’ole
5) Unforgettable — Nat King Cole
6) Lucky — Jason Mraz
7) Lucky — Jason Mraz
Lucky — Jason Mraz
9) Lucky — Jason Mraz
10) Lucky — Jason Mraz
I’m not even kidding. That’s just ridiculous but when I started writing this blog I started opening up all the old DJ Playlist forms from clients and the last 10 in a row that I opened, that damned “Lucky to be in love with my best friend…” song was the first dance. I could list out all the other songs and go to other websites and look for other first dance songs, but that wouldn’t be what this blog was supposed to be about. I am writing about the songs MY clients have used… and those are the ones I keep hearing over and over and over again. Okay, I’ll admit this isn’t a very good top 10 list since I only listed five different songs, I promise to do better tomorrow. I guess my point today is that my clients haven’t been very original lately. Hmmm…
Until next time, when I will have 10 of something for you, happy wedding planning from Weddings in Vieques and Weddings in Culebra.
