Giggles, Guffaws and Belly Laughs Galore at Krystle and Jamie’s Sunset Vieques Wedding

June 28th, 2009 Sandy Malone

Hello Everybody!

I don’t know when I’ve laughed so hard, so many times at one wedding!  Krystle Petrie and Jamie Strand were married on Saturday, June 27th on Santa Maria Playa, a romantic beach in front of a relatively newly-completed property called At the Waves.  Krystle was giggling from the moment we first met her til when I hugged her goodbye after the reception last night.  She and Jamie are amazing to watch together — they feed off of the mischief in each other’s eyes.  But when you put them together with both of their families, it’s more like watching a really crazy sitcom than living real life!  If I hadn’t known better, I would have sworn the whole group was related by more than marriage.

Chopstix, Flybys, and Ice Cream Sundaes Made for a Fabulous Luncheon Wedding Reception for Muriah and Dustin on May 9th

Hola Mis Novias y Mis Novios!

It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I’ve just gotten back from setting up the wedding reception for Krystle Petrie and Jamie Strand this afternoon.  Their wedding tonight is going to be absolutely gorgeous!  I have a few minutes of downtime before I have to head back there with the flowers to meet the caterer and the cake lady, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to get caught up on a wedding I never got a chance to write about.  Muriah Grabner and Dustin Kendall’s afternoon wedding on May 9th!

Chinese Lanterns, Parasols, Luminaries and Hydrangea Make for a Garden-Party Style Wedding in the Caribbean

Hello Readers!

Nicole Gonzalez Valentino and Ryan Patterson were married last Saturday under a clear blue sky on Sun Bay Beach, with more than 50 of their friends and family in attendance.  The bride wore an exquisite designer wedding gown that had been featured on the cover of a major bridal magazine and looked as though she were the bride the gown was designed to feature.  She looked unbelievable!  And so did everything else about her wedding.

Excellent Summer Reading Recommendations for Brides-to-Be

June 20th, 2009 Sandy Malone

Hi Everybody!

Yep, I’m back already — pretty amazing!  This is just a quick blog that I’ve been meaning to write for awhile.  I’m a voracious reader.  I’ll read anything… and I read fast.  So living someplace we could theoretically lose power at any time (though it doesn’t happen often) means that I keep an enormous stash of reading material on hand at all times.  Anyway, I’m reading a book now that has me in stitches — and it reminded me about another great book I read when we were in St. Croix a few weeks ago.  And that reminded me of two other must-read books for stressed-out brides in the midst of planning their weddings — home and destination.  After all, when you break it down, the way that we all behave when we get engaged and plan a wedding is a little silly when you take a step back and look at it from the outside. :)

A Romantic Caribbean Elopement in an Absolutely Amazing, Brand-New Vieques Villa

June 18th, 2009 Sandy Malone

Hi there!

Remember me?  I’m the Caribbean destination wedding planner who used to blog on a regular basis.  Of course, I haven’t written in more than a month so I’ve probably lost all my loyal readers and now I’m writing for nothing but my own entertainment!  But seriously.  I’m sorry I haven’t written — it’s just been completely insane here for the past few weeks and doing actual work for clients always has to come ahead of blogging.  I am wayyyy behind in writing about the weddings I’ve done this spring — I haven’t filled you guys in on Muriah and Dustin, Noelle and Jay, Teresa and Mike, Chelsea and Jerome, Hillary and Cole, Karen and Scott, or Cynthia and Dylan.  And every time I think about blogging, I realize how many I still need to go back and write about and I get freaked out that I don’t have time and then I don’t write anything.  Not very productive.  So here we go… gotta start somewhere.  Let’s start with Cynthia Nichols and Dylan Murray’s elopement yesterday morning at Quinta Jabali.
