Hello Everybody!
I’ve been bad about blogging again this week because I’m up in DC visiting family and friends. My best friend Deedee had a baby in January and I was too busy with weddings to come home when JT was born, so as soon as I got a quick break, I hopped on a plane! He’s beautiful! Such a little cutie-pie. And Dee looks gorgeous. You’d never believe she had a baby a few weeks ago. Anyway, Dee inspired today’s blog topic — wedding jewelry!

Last weekend’s wedding was amazing, and we’ve been in recovery mode ever since. I’ve been so busy getting caught up with other clients that I just haven’t had a minute to blog. But I want to write about the Valentine’s weekend wedding before I forget any of the little details because it really was just that fabulous! Tori Johnson and Victor Velazquez were married on a breezy Valentine’s Day evening, capping off three days of meticulously-planned fun for their wedding guests with a fairyland-ish wedding reception at a posh villa on the water. I know I’ve been quiet this week — we’ve been busy preparing for a big wedding on Valentine’s Day. Tori Johnson and Victor Velazquez will exchange vows on Saturday and host a fabulous wedding reception afterwards. Their guests have already started arriving on the island and that’s been keeping me on my toes. But I wanted to blog real quickly about something that has been coming up a lot lately with my newer brides. The topic is using live animals in your wedding ceremony or reception decor.

Hello Readers!
I’ve just gotten back from a quick overnight trip to the big island shopping for my next wedding. It’s nice to get off Vieques once in awhile and the cargo ferry ride isn’t bad, but there’s nothing fun about doing the “OJ” across the island to get to Costco ahead of the bad rush hour traffic once you arrive. Then we madly shop for four or five hours at all the big stores — Costco, Super WallMart, Home Depot, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and anything else on our list – before trekking back to Fajardo for the night so we’re there to get up at the crack of dawn to catch the cargo ferry back home. Once a month it has to be done, and this month we got it over with early to pick up some supplies for the welcome bags for Tori and Victor’s Valentine’s Day wedding. But before I say anything else about that upcoming wedding, I need to back up and tell you all about how beautiful Stephanie and Edward’s wedding was last Saturday evening!
