Hello Everybody! We’ve all seen brides who are dragging a giant 3-ring binder around everywhere with them, full of plastic sheets stuffed with pictures of cakes, dresses, flowers and favors that have tickled their fancy as they’ve read through bridal magazines. Unfortunately, what’s usually missing from the big pretty binder is a section with real notes about everything going on with the wedding. It seems that there are a lot of brides and grooms out there who think that hiring a wedding planner means you’ve abdicated all responsibility for your wedding. Not so.
Hi everybody! I’ve been very sad because my favorite baker, Colleen Burke at the Sidestreet Bakery in Vieques, retired earlier this year. Her cakes were beautiful and tasty and everybody loved them. Her prices were reasonable. I never wanted to work with anybody else.
My apologies to all of my readers! I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging. I’ve heard about it from a few of my brides who are regular readers and I’m sorry! But I swear I have a great excuse. I’ve been busy planning their destination wedding in Vieques! They don’t plan themselves, you know!
Hola Chiquitas and Hombres! It was another fantastic day on Vieques. In the low 80s and breezy… are you jealous? A few minutes ago I had to jump up from my desk and go out on the front porch with my husband to have a giggle. There are two horses munching grass in our driveway. We forgot to shut the gate after we brought in all the groceries, so we’re getting the lawn mowed for free. The bad part is that they’re probably pooping in our yard too. Talk about needing a giant pooper-scooper. The horses are the only reason we have a big fence all the way around our property. They make a real mess if you let them hang out on your lawn. They didn’t budge when they saw us looking at them. Apparently, they feel quite comfortable in our yard. I wonder how they’ll feel when our dog arrives next month!
Hi Everybody! No, I haven’t forgotten all my readers, I’ve just been completely swamped for the past couple of weeks.
